Owning fish is not for me...

So Sam got me a gold fish for Christmas, which I named Stanley. I was so excited to have a pet and a happy something that I could see everyday and it would remind me of him... Unfortunately Stan died. So when Sam came out to the east coast for the Dew tour we celebrated Valentines day and Sam got me my second fish this was a betta his name was Shark. He lasted almost 3 hours and then died. So I decided one last time to get another betta and I named him Prince because he was a crown tail betta. He lasted 2 days and today was pronouned dead. I decided I will never again try to be a fish owner... and when I have children they will not be allowed to own them either. Apparnetly its just bad luck or gross Boston water... either way I have dealt with enough death for 2 months and I can not take anymore pain... lol

quick update

My life is so much more stressful then usual lately and I am not sure why? I am trying so hard to get it back on track and I hope it happens soon. Yesterday I had my first day at the Suffolk news station. It was so fun! I never realized how much I wanted to really be a news broadcaster until yesterday when I got to play the anchor of a program called the Freedom Trail. I am so happy that I go to Suffolk and able to get this experience. I feel ahead of the game and I am happy.

73 Tremont( Suffolk News)

I got a job at Suffolk University's 73 Tremont television station! I work every Monday morning on a program called the Freedom Trail! I start this Monday(the 22nd of February.) I will update after my first day. I am really excited to see what working on a news station is all about!

Valentines Day(the movie)

This week has been a crazy week. I have not slept later then 9:30 this entire week. Which I know may not be that early to some people but I am used to at least sleeping in until 11 at least once or twice a week. My week has been jam packed with with meetings and projects and homework and classes. Now it is onto a weekend filled with work... ugh!
Thursday night was the most relaxing night I have had all week. I saw Valentines Day with Keri. We went to NY Pizza after class and had some dinner and from there we went to lowes theater on the Boston common. I was a little unsure of Valentines Day just because after watching the previews so many times and hearing from people that it was not as great as it was supposed to be... but i LOVED IT! I loved how every story in the movie came together and the ending was just amazing. It is definetly one of those movies I could watch a million times and not be bored!
Friday morning I met with a man about Prague and got all the information about my trip! I am sooo excited to go! After I went to my miserable 4 hour long class and then went out to dinner with keri's aunt and cousin in the North End.
Today I have just been at work all day and now I am home watching Pretty Women and going to bed shortly and start my long day of work all over again!
Can not wait to have Sam back in the US I do not like this not being able to communicate whenever we want. Sam being so far away(in Japan) is not fun! This should be a long 2 weeks.
well I am going to finish watching Pretty Women and then curl up in my amazing bed and fall asleep.
Goodnight all!

The week so far...

So Monday morning I woke up around 7:30 to go to the mall of New Hampshire to do some spring break shopping with my mom, and then catch a 12 o'clock train home from Nashua to make it back to Boston in time to meet up with my aunt Debbie who was dropping Chris and Stacey off at the airport for their trip to Arizona(I think.)
On the bus I saw a girl from from my high school names Kelsey Foster, who also goes to school in Boston. I caught up with her which was nice and gave me something to do on the bus.
When I got into the city t's were delayed due to cop activity, which is not what I wanted considering I packed some of my stuff in a trash bag like an idiot and it was slowly breaking and getting heavy. I made it to my apartment without my bag ripping but I was later then expected. Debbie and her friend Karen met me and we went to dinner at the Fours, it was amazing. We had spinach and artichoke dip to start, I had a chicken wrap for a meal and then we each ended with a brownie sundae. It was amazing! However it is making it even more necessary for me to get back into my gym routine.
Yesterday(Tuesday) was a blizzard. We unfortunately had school even though it was crazy weather and my morning and my night classes ended up happening. When I got home from my night class I successfully made a good meal. It was a broccoli casserole. Keri, Mary and I finished the entire thing. Again another reason why I must hit the gym soon.
Today I will be hitting the gym, but after I finish everything I have to do. I was supposed to have a meeting with a man named Dr. Robbins (the head of the Prague program) about Prague and ask him some questions I have, but he cancelled. :( Hopefully Friday he can make it work. Now it is pretty much just homework, workout, dinner, american idol and then bed.
Sorry if this post is not so interesting, if anyone even reads this... I just wanted to update on my uneventful life.
until next time... au revior.
P.S. my Media Law teacher brought girl scout cookies for the whole class to have today! It was amazing!

Valentines Day Weekend

So Friday after my 4 hour long class my dad drove into the city to pick me up and bring me home to New Hampshire. There was tons of traffic on the way home so the drive took longer then expected and we didn't get home until about 9.
Saturday the family and I went up to Maine to spend the day as a family celebrating Valentines Day. We started off driving with no real destination in mind just knew we wanted to go somewhere along the sea coast. We ended up in ogunquit, ME. We ate lunch at a great restaurant right on the water, and then shopped around town.
Mom and Dad got cara and I matching Pandora charm bracelets! I have been wanting one for a while, so I was very excited. Coincidentally the charm my mom picked out for us is the same one I told my dad to get for her.

We spent the rest of the day shopping in kittery. We bought sooo many sweets, but I think that is what you are supposed to do on Valentines day.
Sunday(actual Valentines Day) was spent just hanging out at home. I did make it out of the house once to go visit Lindsey and run some errands after with mom, but other then that I just relaxed at home. It was a good Valentines Day. I just wish Sam was here to celebrate with. It is hard to be away from the one you love on Valentines Day. Hopefully next year!
I go back to Boston tomorrow and back to school, work and being exhausted all the time. I guess that is the life of a college student though.
Overall I had a great weekend at home! I love being here, it is such a nice getaway.
Until next time.. au revior!

Valentines Day

After the Dew Tour weekend, Sam came to Boston to hang in my apartment for the last night before he went back to Tahoe. Since Sam and I will not be able to be together for Valentines Day we decided to celebrate Monday night. We got a little dressed up and went to cheesecake factory. I had an amazing meal of chicken in a white wine sauce, broccoli and my favorite mashed potatoes. It was a great change from my typical order of orange chicken (which is amazing and I recommend it to anyone.) For dessert Sam and I split cookie dough cheesecake (it is my favorite!) It was an amazing night with Sam.
After dinner Sam and I decided to make a quick stop before returning to my apartment and went to Cambridge to get me a new fish. I bought a beautiful new beta fish which I named Shark, unfortunately Shark did not make it through the night. I am going to try one more time to have a fish and if it doesn't work out, I guess being a fish owner is just not for me.
Sam is back in Tahoe now, and I am back to missing him in Boston and trying to keep up with all my school work. It is hard to focus on school when I am just so excited for all my adventures to come. I have so much I want to accomplish in life and I am constantly planning for it. It makes it always hard to concentrate for me. lol But I have big dreams that I would love to accomplish and NEED to accomplish them!
well off to watch the housewives of Orange Country. Love this show.
until next time... au revior!

Dear John

So yesterday the forecast predicted a foot of snow. I woke up to nothing but they cancelled school anyway due to the chance of snow, because people in Boston freak like it the end of the world when snow starts falling or it is predicted to. So Keri, Mary and I decided to to catch the 4:15 showing of Dear John. I loved it! A great story of love between a boy and a girl and an even more powerful story of a boy and his father. The ending also keeps you wanting more. I recommend to anyone going bring a box of tissues because you will cry more then once.

Dew Tour Weekend

Since I now have a 4 hour long class on Fridays, it makes it a lot harder to do things outside of Boston on the weekends. But this weekend right after my class ended on Friday I ran back to my apartment got in my car and drove to West Dover, VT to surprise Sam after his 4th place finish in the Dew Tour final stop. I got there around 8 at night. Sam was surprised. :) But then the guys had to go to a photo shoot for Transworld so Lindsey and I went out to dinner where we had the worst service ever and I was the worst dinner date due to not eating or drinking all day and being exhausted. Then it was the after party... It started off great! I was having so much fun hanging out with everyone, listening to the band and dancing. However it went downhill when I started feeling sick.
Thank you Lindsey, Sam and Brandon for all of your help that night. Would not have made it without you. lol
The next day was very low key. It consisted of eating and sleeping and then at night we watch superpipe finals and then hung at Sam's condo with all his team mates. They were all so nice.
Overall it was a great weekend, now I am home just hanging out in Peterborough watching the Superbowl later and back to Boston in the morning.
until next time.. au revior!

100 things to do before I die

The buried life is a new show on MTV. It is about 4 good friends who are on a mission to complete the goals they want to accomplish before they die. My sophomore year of high school I had an assignment in my english class to make a list of 100 things to do before I die. I think this is one of the greatest assignments I ever had to do, but it has been 4 years and I haven't spent much time working on accomplishing them and I think I want to start.
I have started to rewrite these goals and I am adding to my new years resolution and I am going to work on accomplishing my goals.
P.S. so far I have kept up my other resolution and have made it a whole month without buying bottled water. Just saving the world one bottle of water at a time.

The Blind Side

This weekend flew by but it was a lot of fun. Saturday night my cousin Chris and his wife Stacy came into the city and we went out to dinner and drinks. Keri and Lauren both came out with us and it was a fun relaxing night.
Sunday consisted of lots of homework and then finally a break to go see a movie. Keri and I went and saw The Blind Side. It was the most amazing story, truly inspiring. Sandra Bullock was amazing in the movie. I love her as an actress and have seen almost all of her movies and this was by far the best. The story was about a boy named Michael "Big Mike" who grew up in the projects and then got into a prestigious high school for sports, because he had bad grades. He ends up getting adopted by a rich very family oriented family. He ends up turning his life around. It is a truly tear jerking movie, but fantastic and better yet its based on a TRUE story. I recommend this movie to anyone.
Now onto the long week ahead I am hoping for a fun weekend again this coming weekend.
until next time... au revior!
