Skating

Cunningham Pond is officially frozen! I went ice skating with all my friends on Christmas Eve and Christmas day! It was so much fun! I hadn't been skating in so long. I love being home and seeing all of my friends and family. I am back in Boston now but I am so glad I got to have fun with everyone I love while I was home.

Avatar

I saw avatar 3D the other night. I was surprised to find that I really enjoyed the movie. All though some parts were cheesy and kind of weird, this 3 hour movie flew by. The movie has lots of action for boys and a love story for girls, and its great because its in 3D. I recommend everyone see it before it goes out of theaters, it will definitely not have the same effect on your home television.

Hye Jin Kim

So Archstone Avenir apartment 722 made a new friend this week, her name is Hye Jin Kim, but just Kim to us Americans. She is from South Korea and was visiting her boyfriend who lives across the hall from our apartment. Her boyfriend works for the prestigious accounting company called PriceWaterHouse Coopers and had to stay locked in his apartment to study for a test the company was giving him. So she had girl time with us. She made us authentic Korean food and taught us about the culture as well as did hair and makeup with us and watched christmas movies. She said that hanging out with us was the most fun she had, had all vacation. It is weird how different relationships are in different cultures. To me it seemed as though she was supposed to clean, cook and do whatever her boyfriend needed. Rather then having an equal relationship where they would just hang out and have fun.
I hope she comes back to visit soon!

12/4/09

Mary, Keri and I went to see New Moon today. It was my second time seeing it and I liked it just as much as the first time!
On our way home from the movie we walked home through downtown crossing which is now decorated for the holidays. It is so pretty! I love the city around this time. There was christmas music playing, shoppers getting ready for christmas and lights decorating all the stores and streets.
On the sidewalk in front of Macy's we saw christmas trees for sale. Mary, Keri and I bought the tallest one, but it is definitely a charlie brown tree. There are about 10 branches on the whole tree. We carried it from there to cvs where we picked up lights, ornaments and some decorations for the tree and apartment.
The apartment is almost ready for christmas now!
I love the holiday season!
until next time... au revior!

The Road

I saw The Road the day after Thanksgiving with Sam and Anders. I have not read the book so I was unsure of what I was getting into. I thought the overall story was good, but the actual movie was just depressing moment after depressing moment. I felt like there was never anything to make you happy. Parts of the movie even made me feel nauseous. From what people tell me the book is amazing so if you have any interest in seeing the movie I suggest you stay home and read the book.
